My name is Courtney, I’m 20 years old, and health and fitness is my passion. I have always been an active person; climbing and jumping off things as a child, playing sports all throughout school, and getting involved in Muay Thai and weight training. I played team sports a lot growing up and loved them, but there’s something about a solo sport that is so much more rewarding to me.
I first started training Muay Thai back in 2012 and instantly loved it. I love Muay Thai because it helps me clear my head; during training I’m focused, I’m working on me. Training is a way for me to get rid of tension and built up emotions, a way to express myself and grow. It offers stress relief, builds confidence, boosts fitness levels, and so much more.
I created Muay Thai Movement with my mum, Kylie, in May 2017. We wanted to create a safe space for people to learn and develop the skills of Muay Thai while improving themselves. I’m so happy that I can share my passion of Muay Thai with others. Doing this and seeing people improve their skills each week while enjoying what they’re doing is the most rewarding thing. I’m so excited to see people developing their own love of Muay Thai.
